Chapter 404

In the backseat, Caroline didn’t stay put, even though she had been secured into the seat with the seat belt. She unconsciously hit the seat of the car, acting like a child throwing a tantrum without an outlet.

Kirk had no choice but to stop the car by the side of the road. He got out of the car and undid his tie, revealing his delicate collarbones.

Once the wind blew away the heat of his desire, he bent down and opened the door to stare at Caroline in the backseat.

Suddenly being stared at, the drunk Caroline blearily stared at Kirk. She opened her red lips, which were as enticing as ripened fruit.

Kirk swallowed with difficulty. He brushed a finger across Caroline’s lips and smiled. “Do you know how seductive you are like this?”

Kirk’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he reached out to touch Caroline’s face. His crumbling rationality unraveled completely.

He bent down, one hand holding the car door, putting his lips over Caroline’s. This made Kirk’s roiling feelings finally calm.
