When Kurk hit Adrian’s face with his fist, Caroline happened to step through the hotel entrance
So she clearly saw Kirk swinging his fist and Adrian falling to the ground.
Furious, she ran in front of Adrian without hesitation and blocked Kirk. “What the hell are you
doing, Kirk?”
Kirk calmed down immediately in the face of Caroline, who had suddenly shown up.
However, when he realized she was protecting Adrian, he lost his rationality again. He clenched
his fists tightly, digging his nails into his palm. “Are you protecting him?”
“He’s my friend! Why are you hurting him?” Caroline glared back at him.
He was going too far! It was fine if he only hurt her, but now he wouldn’t even let her friends off
the hook!
Kirk gritted his teeth and asked again, “Are you protecting him?”
Caroline didn’t know what he was obsessed with, but compared to his question, she would rather
have him apologize to Adrian. “You hurt someone! You should apologize to my friend!”
“What if I don’t?” Kirk was about to snap.
Sean also noticed that his friend was already on the verge of snapping. He hurriedly stepped
forward to grab Kirk. “Kirk, calm down. Caroline, he’s feeling a little irritable because he hasn’t
rested for days. I’ll apologize on his behalf. Then, I’ll get him to apologize after he calms down.”
“No need.”
Caroline said coldly, “I don’t want to see him again.‘
After that, she helped Adrian up, “Let’s go, Adrian.”
As Adrian leaned on Caroline’s shoulder, he couldn’t resist looking back at Kirk. When he saw the
murderous jealousy in his eyes, he smirked triumphantly.
Kirk waved his fist again, trying to rush forward.
Sean desperately hugged Kirk’s waist. “Kirk!”

When the elevator behind him closed, Sean snarled, “Kirk, since when are you such a brat? Can’t
you tell that man is provoking you on purpose?”
Kirk growled, “Then, let me kill him.”
“If he dies, your relationship with Caroline will be over.”
Sean’s words finally had an effect on Kirk. He stopped rushing to the elevator. Instead, he turned
around and slammed his fist on the glass door frame beside him.
The sound of glass breaking attracted the manager’s attention. Sean took out a card and handed it
to the manager, his eyes landing on the cuts on Kirk’s hand.
“I’ll help you bandage these up first. Use that time to calm down.”
Kirk frowned and said nothing in response. Sean pushed him out of the hotel and took him to a
nearby clinic to bandage his wounds.
Meanwhile, Caroline brought Adrian back to his room. Seeing the bruises on his handsome face,
she said guiltily, “I’m sorry.”
Adrian smiled, but it stretched on his wound. Then, the smile on his face instantly turned
ferocious. “It’s not even your fault, so why are you apologizing to me?”
Caroline said, “He’s my husband. Since he’s in the wrong, I have to apologize on his behalf.”
“Aren’t you both fighting? It seemed like it’s pretty serious…” Adrian looked at Caroline cautiously.
“Haven’t you thought about-”
Caroline understood what he wanted to say, but she didn’t answer him.
Instead, she changed the subject. “Do you have any medicine here? If not, we have to get this
treated outside.”
Adrian’s eyes followed Caroline’s movements. After a moment’s hesitation, he made up his mind
and asked again, “Caroline, have you never thought of divorcing him?”
