trouble.”
Caroline pursed her lips, remaining silent. At first, she wondered if he had used a voice–changer to
disguise himself. But she never noticed anything strange, even after talking for so long.
She finally put her nervousness in check.
It seemed things were exactly as Kirk said. Eddy’s second uncle and Daphne had a fake marriage.
To make a fake marriage certificate, he had asked Kirk and Daphne to get a real one.
So was Daphne the mysterious woman?
After learning that her relationship with Kirk was doing fine, Daphne had deliberately sent her a
message to make her misunderstand Kirk, leading to their relationship falling apart.
Caroline vaguely remembered she had met Daphne before going abroad, and they had caused a
big scene because of the wedding dress.
When she thought about it this way, things started to make sense.

Kirk felt the burden in his chest fade away at the sight. His steps were brisk even as he walked up
to her.

Caroline barked, “What?”
Kirk took her hand and cooed, “I haven’t kissed you for so long. Can I kiss you?”
Caroline immediately blushed. “You’re insane!”
“Exactly! I’m lovesick!”
Caroline stopped and turned to look at Kirk. “I’m sure you’re actually crazy!” As soon as she said
that, she heard a slap not far behind her.
Caroline followed the sound and sprinted backstage.
When she arrived, she saw Sonia covering her cheek and looking at Daphne bitterly. After
realizing what happened, she pulled Sonia behind her and slapped Daphne with the back of her
hand.
Daphne’s face immediately swelled from the blow. She covered her cheek and glared at Caroline. ”
How dare you hit me?”
“You’re the one who attacked her first. Why wouldn’t I hit you?” Caroline looked at Daphne coldly.
Daphne and Eddy’s second uncle had a fake marriage. But she had taken advantage of it and hurt
others, flaunting the power she never had!
Daphne was trembling in anger. Her anger over losing the leading role in “Daughter of the Sea”
had clouded her rationality.
Now that Caroline was yelling at her, she had nothing else to lose. She raised her hand and swung
her palm at Caroline. “Mind your own business, you bitch!”
