Chapter 3  The guys in the profiles all looked average, around forty, and most of them didn’t even have a steady job!  Amold glared at Tracy in extreme dissatisfaction. “Some of these guys are my age! Tracy, how could you introduce these middle–aged men to Ellinor?“-  Tracy looked a bit stiff. She had someone fake the photos and profiles of these men. She hadn’t expected Ellinor, who usually doesn’t talk much, to actually find the real information about these men!  Tracy quickly put on an innocent face. “Arnold, I have no idea how this happened. I made sure to pick the best men for Ellinor. It must be a mistake from the matchmaking agency!”  Ellinor found it amusing. “Auntie Tracy, you didn’t even verify the authenticity of the men’s information, and you confidently referred to them as high–quality men. I’m not your biological child, but how could you take my lifelong happiness so lightly? Dad, you wouldn’t feel proud if I married such middle–aged men, right?”  Tracy tried to explain. “No… That’s not….”  But Arnold didn’t want to hear it. He threw the profiles onto Tracy’s face in extreme disappointment  “Enough! From now on, you’re not to interfere with Ellinor’s marriage! I’ll freeze your bank card this month. Spend less time wasting money and reflect on your actions at home!”  Tracy turned pale. “Arnold, you’ve misunderstood….”  Arnold ignored her and looked at his daughter with some guilt. “Ellinor, I’m sorry for making you meet so many middle–aged men. You don’t have to go on blind dates anymore.”  Ellinor smiled. “Thank you, Dad.”  After Arnold went upstairs, Tracy glared at Ellinor with malicious intent.  Ellinor felt Tracy’s angry stare and coolly said, “By the way, Auntie Tracy, I thought you would be satisfied with the high–quality men you personally chose as your sons–in–law. So I gave these men Sheila’s private number. I hope Sheila can develop something with them!”  Tracy clenched her teeth in anger. “What? How dare you!”  Her Sheila was a superstar. Those average men would never deserve to call her!  Ellinor couldn’t be bothered with Tracy anymore. She yawned and went upstairs to sleep.  Tracy cursed Ellinor under her breath and was about to go to her room to convince Arnold not to freeze her bank card when the doorbell suddenly rang.  Who would come this late?  Opening the door, she saw a man in a suit and behind him, a line of men in black carrying many things. They looked quite threatening.  Seeing so many strangers appearing in the middle of the night, Tracy became wary. “Who are you looking for?”  Collin said, “Mrs. Mendoza, we are here to deliver a betrothal gift from Mr. Blanchet to Ms. Mendoza!”  “A betrothal gift? What betrothal gift? And who is this Mr. Blanchet?”  “The name of Mr. Blanchet is Theo.”  Tracy’s eyes widened when she heard the name.  “Theo? Is it the Theo from the top–tier Blanchet family?”  Collin responded, “Correct.”  Tracy, “You mean the young master of the Blanchet family is interested in my daughter?”  Collin hesitated a bit before saying, “If that’s how you understand it, then yes.”  Tracy believed her daughter Sheila was the hottest actress of the moment. She was beautiful and talented. It was only natural that she would be noticed by a wealthy family. But this suitor had a very important background and even came to propose directly. This was too  sudden!  Seeing that Tracy hadn’t responded, Collin asked, “Does Mrs. Mendoza disagree with this marriage?”  Tracy snapped out of her thoughts and quickly shook her head. “No, it’s just that my daughter isn’t home right now. For such a big matter, let’s wait until she comes back….”  Collin interrupted her. “Mrs. Mendoza, your daughter has already accepted the engagement ring from Mr. Blanchet. You just need to accept his gifts now.”  Sheila had accepted Mr. Blanchet’s ring. Had they already been dating? That child Sheila! She got such a good boyfriend and didn’t even tell them!  Tracy didn’t dare to keep the guests waiting anymore and quickly invited Collin to sit down. Collin didn’t enter, but signaled his men to bring the gifts in.  “In three days, Mr. Blanchet will personally come to marry Ms. Mendoza.”  Tracy was shocked. “Ah? In three days? Isn’t that…too rushed?”  Collin said, “Mrs. Mendoza, rest assured, Mr. Blanchet has arranged everything for the wedding. Everything will be the best. Ms. Mendoza will definitely not be ill–treated.”  Everything would be the best? Mr. Blanchel was truly devoted to Sheila!  Once Sheila married into the Blanchet family, she would become the mother of the son of the Blanchet family. Would she ever have to  …

 Facebook  Twitter  WhatsApp  Pinterest Chapter 2  The crowd below the stage had different expressions as they chaltered away…  “This is Mr. Blanchet’s fiancée? Why is she dressed like a street punk?”  “Shouldn’t Mr. Blanchet’s woman be an elegant and beautiful lady? What the hell is that?”  “Hmm, Mr. Blanchet’s taste is rather… unique.”  Ellinor had deliberately dressed like a punk to scare off potential husbands. But Theo didn’t seem to mind that his fiancée’s image was being discussed. More accurately, he didn’t even care that his taste was being questioned, so he was completely unmoved.  Under the strange gazes of the guests, Ellinor had no choice but to exchange engagement rings with Theo.  The host announced that the ceremony was over!  Although everyone was a bit uncomfortable with Mr. Blanchet’s choice of fiancée, they didn’t dare not to applaud for the sake of Mr. Blanchet’s face.  The applause erupted.  After leaving the stage, all Ellinor wanted was to get away and escape this place of drama.  But she was surrounded by three exquisitely dressed women who blocked her way.  “Whose daughter are you?”  “Why did you come dressed like that?”  “Do you think you’re worthy of standing next to Mr. Blanchet?”  Ellinor just bypassed them, not wanting to deal with them.  But these women blocked her way again, refusing to back down.  She lost her patience, glanced at their glamorous dresses, “You’re all dressed up, but why don’t I see any of you standing next to Mr. Blanchet?”  “You…”  These three socialites were daughters of wealthy families in Greenhaven. Had they ever faced such sarcasm? They blocked her, demanding an apology, and were even more reluctant to let her go.  Not far away, Jonah walked over and clinked glasses with Theo.  “Theo, where did you find this female thug? If you take her home to your old man, he’ll probably drop dead!”  Theo replied in an uncaring tone, “The old man just wants a daughter–in–law, and any woman will do.”  Jonah complained, “There are so many women in the world, why did you  Theo sipped his wine, as if reminiscing about something.  “Because, she’s a sweet girl.”  ve to choose a thug to marry?”  Jonah was stunned, looking at his normally reserved brother with incomprehension, “I never realized this before, but you have quite the  taste!”  Splash! A glass of wine was spilled on Ellinor!  Jonah turned to look, raising his eyebrows, “Your fiancée seems to be getting bullied. Aren’t you going to do something?”  Theo squinted, “No need.”  Before Jonah could figure out what Theo meant, he saw Ellinor grab a socialite’s hair and knock their heads together like she was slapping a watermelon, causing the two women to collide severely!  The two socialites immediately fell unconscious, and the remaining one was scared out of her wits.  “You you you….  Ellinor was expressionless. She didn’t say a word, just waved her hand lightly.  The last socialite immediately backed away and no longer blocked the way.  Jonah gave a slight smile.  I think I understand why you chose her.”  Theo’s eyes were meaningful, he was silent as he sipped his wine.  The young woman was able to approach him quickly, and could force a big man like him to bend down and kiss her with just one hand.  11:53  She was strong and daring, truly an extraordinary woman!  “Collin, take her to change.”  “Yes, Mr. Blanchet.”  Ellinor didn’t go with Collin to change, but walked over and looked at the man unhappily  …

Chapter 1  “If we get hitched, you gotta quit your job and stay home. Take care of me, and pop out a healthy baby boy within a year! I don’t want a girl, ‘cause girls need more parenting!”  Ellinor Mendoza looked at her blind date, a balding, chubby man in his forties.  Her stepmother, Tracy, must have wanted her to settle for a less desirable man, hence the pressure to meet this unsuitable date.  The middle–aged man had initially criticized Ellinor’s makeup, but seeing her slim figure and decent demeanor, he figured she was quite  the catch.  He then asked, “How tall are you?”  Ellinor, bored stiff, stirred her coffee nonchalantly and replied softly, “5’6“.”  The middle–aged man seemed pleased. “Hmm, your height is just about right for me. I’m about 5‘ 7“. You might need to stand on your toes when we kiss. But no worries, I can bend down a bit for you!”  Ellinor’s eyelid twitched slightly. “Sir, I think you might be misunderstood. A man who needs a woman to stand on her toes to kiss him should be somewhat taller than you”  The middle–aged man frowned, displeased. “What do you mean?”  Just then, a tall and imposing man walked into the coffee shop, radiating a strong aura.  Ellinor glanced up and noticed the man. She got up and walked over to him..  “Excuse me, handsome. Could you come over here for a second?”  The magnificent man’s gaze turned cold. Before he could decline, Ellinor grabbed his tie, stood on her toes, and planted a precise kiss on his lips.  “See? You should at least be as tall as him to deserve a woman standing on her toes for a kiss.”  “You…”  The middle–aged man was embarrassed and angry, pointing at Ellinor.  “You’re so audacious, kissing a stranger like that! I will tell the matchmaker about this and ruin your reputation. You can forget about. finding a date in future!”  Ellinor scoffed. This was exactly what she wanted.  After the middle–aged man stormed off angrily, Ellinor waved at the tall man who had helped her.  “Thank you for your help, sir! If fate allows, we’ll meet again. Goodbye!”  She turned to leave, but her wrist was suddenly gripped by a cold, strong hand!  A deep, icy voice reached her ears.  “You kissed me, and you think you can just walk away?”  She felt an overwhelming pressure, and looked up to a handsome face suddenly appearing in her line of sight.  His face was stunning!  His hair was elegantly combed, his features were sharp, and his expression was calm. He gave the impression he could handle any  situation with ease.  There was also a hint of danger!  Ellinor thought to herself, “I was so focused on getting rid of that middle–aged man and picking the tallest man nearby to kiss, I didn’t pay attention to his face. Now that I look closely, he’s unusually handsome and has a unique aura!”  Ellinor frowned slightly….What are you going to do?”  The man stared at Ellinor in silence, his lips moved as if to say something. Just then, a man in a black suit standing next to him received a call. He approached them with a serious expression and reported, “Mr. Blanchet, there’s a problem! Ms. Sophia’s flight has been forced to return due to bad weather. She can’t make it back today, and your engagement party is tonight. What should we do?”  The man’s brows furrowed. This engagement party was a matter of life and death for his grandfather!  His grandfather had been urging him to get married as he was nearing thirty. Recently, his grandfather had a heart attack due to the stress and needed a heart transplant. However, he had made a strict declaration that he would only agree to the operation if Theo got engaged today and married in three days.  Sophia was originally the woman he had found to appease his grandfather, but now she couldn’t make it….  At this moment, Ellinor, whose arm was still gripped tightly by the man, said impatiently, “Hey? Sir, is there anything else? If not, could you let go of me?”  Theo Blanchet stared at Ellinor intensely, curiosity filling his eyes. He suddenly chuckled, “Since this lady came to me herself, let her replace Sophia!”  Collin was taken aback, his eyes filled with disgust as he looked at Ellinor.  Her makeup was heavy, her hair was messy, and she dressed like a troublemaker. How was this woman suitable for Mr. Blanchet?  …
